Alia's Studio Policies

Session Cancelation Policy

1. Cancelation of a lesson/session must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time to receive a make-up lesson at a later time. Lessons must be canceled via text, voicemail, email or canceling on Calendly (please make sure to leave me a note about it) directly with Alia.

   1. Exception 1. Waking up too sick to sing the day of your lesson (please stay at home and rest) - if you feel a tingle coming on the day before, please cancel.

   2. Exception 2. There has been an emergency - call or text me when you can, because I am probably worried about your wellbeing. I understand life happens i.e. car accident, the train getting stuck, your dog ran away (I’ll likely come help look), a family member got sick, etc. 

2. No-shows or failure to notify Alia within 24 hours is considered a forfeited lesson unless in case of true emergency.

3. Please communicate any known scheduling conflicts as soon as possible and book accordingly using Calendly. 

4. There are no refunds on pre-paid unused or canceled lessons - you can use a makeup session within 6 months of the original payment of the lesson. 

5. Timeslots cannot be held regularly for students without pre-paid passes (booking week to week). You can pre-book any sessions using my Calendly link: https://calendly.com/aliagoldfarb

6. Credits cannot be transferred between Alia Goldfarb and Saja Butler.

 

Payments

1. Payments can be made via Venmo, PayPal, Stripe, Cash or check

2. Payments are due by the time of your lesson. For packs, please ensure payment is received by the time the first lesson of the next series occurs. 

3. Credits cannot be transferred between Alia Goldfarb and Saja Butler.

4. All purchases are valid for 6 months. If lessons have gone unused within 6 months, the lesson purchase will be considered forfeited.

5. There are no refunds on pre-paid unused or canceled lessons - you can use a makeup session within 6 months of the original payment of the lesson. 

 

Q&A

1. What if I get sick? If you feel able to sing but are contagious, let’s schedule a Zoom lesson! If you are too unwell, please cancel your lesson and we will discuss alternative arrangements.

2. Emergencies such as a car won’t start, a pet is injured, etc. - text or call me as soon as possible. We will work through an alternative arrangement. 

3. What if Urban Monk Studios is closed unexpectedly? Alia will move lessons to her home or find an alternative time to make up lessons. All scheduled lessons will be eligible for a makeup time. 

4. What if Alia cancels? Alia will contact you to determine a time for makeup lessons. All scheduled lessons will be eligible for a makeup time. 

5. I need specific accommodations: If you/ the person taking lessons, needs or would benefit from specific accommodations, please contact Alia directly to discuss such arrangements.
